San Michele home is a non-profit organization in Withok Estates, Brakpan and accommodates over 200 mentally and/or physically disabled people. The home provides professional care as well as a family environment. Most of the residents are abandoned making San Michele their home for the rest of their lives. The home has been open since 1945 and although we are a government subsidised institution a portion of our expenses are not covered by this subsidy and we rely on donations and fundraisers to cover the remaining costs.
Services for the handicapped include a variety of sport activities, homes, recreation and other specialized services and stimulation programmes.
